The problem

Co-buying is the start of a financial relationship — most apps ignore that.

You both put in a deposit. One of you pays the mortgage. The other handles the bills. Someone fixes the dishwasher. A year in, no one really knows who's ahead, who's behind, or what fair looks like.

Spreadsheets break down

The “shared expenses” sheet starts strong, then quietly dies in month four. By year two, no one trusts the numbers anymore.

Money conversations get awkward

“Did you pay your half?” “I think I covered the last one?” Without a clean record, every conversation feels like an audit.

Buyouts get messy

When one person wants out, you both guess at a fair price. Without contribution history, mortgage shares, and equity adjustments — you're negotiating in the dark.

Who it's for

Built for the way Australians actually buy together.

Whether you're starting out, helping a child onto the ladder, or building a portfolio with friends — Propact handles the financial side of the relationship.

First home buyers

Couples and friends pooling deposits to crack the market together — and wanting clarity from day one.

  • Track every dollar each person contributes
  • Auto-split bills by ownership share
  • Plan extra repayments together

Parents & adult children

Family members co-buying to help each other in — with clear records that stay clean for tax and estate.

  • Document gifts vs loans vs contributions
  • Generate clean reports for accountants
  • Plan the buyout from day one

Investment partners

Two to four people building an investment property portfolio together — without losing track of who put in what.

  • Track multiple properties side-by-side
  • Split rental income and expenses fairly
  • Calculate equity adjustments anytime

Not co-owning?Propact still fits.

Solo ownerstrack equity, costs and a government-scheme stake on a place you own outright.

Multi-property investorskeep each property’s contributions, equity and tax-ready costs in one ledger.

How it works

Three steps. About four minutes. Done.

Set up your property

Add the address, purchase price, current value, and your home loan details. We pull the rest from public AU property data.

Invite your co-owners

Each person joins by email or magic link. Set ownership percentages once — adjust them later as contributions change.

Track everything together

Log expenses as they happen. Watch equity update live. Use the buyout estimator the day someone wants to exit cleanly.

What's inside

Everything you need to share a property — and nothing you don't.

Six tools, one source of truth. Each module is built around a real moment in shared ownership. Hover any card to see how it looks inside the dashboard.

Why Propact

The part a spreadsheet can't do.

Co-ownership lives or dies on trust — and on the exit. Propact keeps the record straight from settlement to the day someone moves on.

  • A record you can trust

Every contribution, expense and change is logged with a timestamp — a tamper-evident history both owners can rely on.

  • A fair way out

When someone exits, Propact turns that record into a fair buyout — including the costs people forget.

  • Australian scheme math

First Home Guarantee, Help to Buy and the Victorian Homebuyer Fund — kept current so your numbers stay right.

FAQ

Quick answers.

When does Propact launch?

We're opening early access soon. Founding members get in first — join the list and we'll email you the moment your seat is ready. No card needed to join.

Is this only for couples?

No. Propact is built for any two to four co-owners — couples, friends, parent-and-child, sibling groups, or investment partners. It also works for a solo owner on a government scheme, or an investor tracking more than one property. The maths and reporting adapt to your setup.

How is Propact different from a spreadsheet?

Spreadsheets capture what happened. Propact captures what each person owns — automatically updating equity as contributions, mortgage payments, extra repayments and property values change. Plus a buyout estimator and free calculators no spreadsheet does well.

What happens if one of us wants to exit?

The buyout estimator works out a fair price from your contribution history, the current property value and each person’s mortgage share — and lays it out clearly, including who owes whom, so you can both review and agree before involving lawyers.

Can I try it before signing up?

Yes. The live demo drops you into a fully-worked sample dashboard — equity, mortgage, expenses and a buyout — that you can click around, no account needed. You can also use our free stamp duty, capital gains tax and borrowing power calculators right now.

Is my data safe?

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, handled by trusted infrastructure providers, and never sold or shared. Every change is recorded in a tamper-evident activity log you can verify, and you can export everything to CSV at any time.

Does it work for investment properties?

Yes. Propact handles owner-occupied and investment scenarios, including rental income, expense allocation by ownership %, and accountant-ready categories and reports.

Buy together. Stay together.

Join the founding members and lock in everything Propact will ever build — for the price of a couple of date nights.

No spam. Just a heads-up when early access opens.
